Notes from underground

Notes from underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky

Paperback | Kindle

Overview

I’m going to overly simplify this book. Its a old man living in Russia, a veteran of the Russian civil service, whom recently retired. The book is basically a collection of this fictional mans notes and ramblings of his alienation of society.

Bottom line

Well, where do I start? I picked this book because of Jordan Peterson in one of his YouTube videos. I can understand why he would like this book at lot. It is a very good book but I skipped the forward and that was a mistake. I think I would have loved the book and understood why this is one of 100 books you must read before you die. If you have the time to really read this book and spend time analyzing it, then I would say read it.
